CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS

3D ORNAMENTS

CHRISTMAS TREE ORNAMENT
Dimensional ornaments are always fascinating. These are made of card stock and the front side has a cut-out. Inside, an ornamental Christmas tree is in the background and a little Magnolia character is in the foreground. Each of the two remaining sides have the same tree but a different character.
WINTER SCENE ORNAMENT
Again, this is a dimensional ornament. the scene has several depth layers with trees in the background and just behind the character is a clear film which depicts snow flakes. The sides repeat the scene to some extent, but with pattern paper and a different character.

Both ornaments have a charm drop on the bottom.

CHRISMONS is an acronym for Christ Monograms (CHRISt-MONogramS).
The Chrismons are perfect ornaments for the Christmas Tree. The tree itself, an evergreen, represents Christ's everlasting love and life. These symbols are prepared in white and gold only. The ornaments shown are handmade out of white felt, sequins, braid, pearls and beads. I made the patterns in two sizes.  The large size was designed for our 25 foot church tree. Smaller patterns were made for personal use on home trees.

The symbols used are to represent the Life of Christ. Symbols like the manger, dove, advent rose (rose of sharon), crown and numerous designs of crosses are appropriate. There are twelve ornaments shown below. There are several more symbols, such as a sailing boat (representing Christ's time with His disciples on the Sea of Galilee), Magi Gifts, crown, fish, symbols of the Trinity and many more crosses.
